Combine with a pulper for water extraction and re-use.
Somat Hydra-extractors are an integral part of a foodservice waste system comprised of a Somat pulper (or pulpers) and a remotely
located Hydra-extractor. A Hydra-extractor will accept the food waste slurry from a number of remotely located pulpers. Combining several
pulpers with a remote Hydra-extractor allows maximum flexibility for collecting foodservice waste into a centralized point for optimum disposal
efficiency. Slurry from several pulpers is pumped through a collecting pipeline to the remotely located Hydra-extractor. The Hydra-extractor uses
a specialized brushed screw auger and cylindrical screen to extract most of the water from the slurry resulting in a semi-dry pulp. The extracted
water is recovered by the return pump at the Hydra-extractor and is pumped back to the pulpers for re-use. Collection and removable of the
pulp at the Hydra-extractor can be accomplished by various means. SOMAT Hydra-extractors are available in several sizes for meeting a wide
